The 71st Annual Academy Awards, Sunday, March 21, 1999, recorded off ABC 7 Chicago (WLS) with the commercial breaks intact: ABC's 'Sunday at the Oscars' pre-show, the full ceremony ('Shakespeare in Love' and James Coburn among the winners; tributes to Frank Sinatra, Stanley Kubrick and Gene Siskel), the closing credits, ABC promos and the start of the late-night 'An Evening at the Academy Awards' post-show, which runs until the recording ends at 4:47:46. Tracking is clean; one short dropout in the post-show.
