Broadcast: Two recordings from Monday, May 22, 2000, Chicago. The taper first recorded NBC's broadcast of the movie Men in Black on WMAQ-TV NBC5 (from the opening titles), then rewound and recorded that night's Late Show with David Letterman on WBBM-TV CBS2 over the start of the tape: the Campaign 2000 bit, Dave's chair, the Top Ten and guests Michael J. Fox (two days before his last Spin City aired) and Richard Harris. Letterman stops at 0:28:36 and Men in Black takes over from 0:28:42 to the end of the disc; it finishes on disc B.
Dated by the Letterman guest list (IMDb: May 22, 2000), NBC's 'Tuesday finales' and 'Friends finale again Wednesday' promos, the Third Watch season finale 'next' (May 22, 2000), and sale dates (Sears ends May 25, Big Kmart 5/27, Ford May 31).
