Next come ABC's The View and WLS-TV ABC7's full live special report on Michael Jordan's retirement press conference at the United Center, with Jerry Reinsdorf and David Stern (Wednesday, January 13, 1999). After WLS's 'program already in progress' ID the tape continues with Fox News Channel's Fox News Now (Shepard Smith) on Tuesday, January 19, 1999: George W. Bush's second inauguration as Texas governor, the State of the Union preview and the Clinton defense opening.

Broadcast: Tuesday, January 19, 1999: the first day of President Clinton's defense in his Senate impeachment trial, recorded by switching between networks. It picks up from T10A in Fox News Channel's Fox News Now (Latrell Sprewell headed to the Knicks, David Asman), then switches to CNN's live coverage: Chief Justice Rehnquist opens the session and White House Counsel Charles Ruff delivers the first two hours of the defense presentation. During the recess it samples CNN (Jeff Greenfield, Frank Sesno, former Senator Alan Simpson), CBS News (Gloria Borger, Dan Rather, Bob Schieffer) and ABC News, then follows ABC News' live 'Senate Trial of the President' coverage as Ruff resumes (Article II, the Betty Currie gifts and cell-phone record). The tape ends mid-presentation.
No commercials: the recording was paused through breaks ('we'll take a break, we'll be right back' at 1:12:14 cuts straight back to commentary), so nothing from this disc goes to YouTube. The full recording is preserved on archive.org.

The viewer then switches to CNN's 'Trial of the President' coverage with Bernard Shaw, Judy Woodruff and a long run of Senate and House-manager reactions (Kerry, Grassley, Rogan, Graham, Leahy, Harkin, Lott and others), with a brief flip to CNBC's Street Signs. It then runs a special Burden of Proof with Greta Van Susteren and Roger Cossack (Bob Barr vs. Gerald Lefcourt) and ends in the opening seconds of Inside Politics ahead of the State of the Union.
